Reference-Based Training

By implementing BPG, your organization can reduce the amount of classroom training delivered to employees. In order to achieve this reduction, we advise our customers to move to a reference-based training approach.

Reference-based training is an approach in which learners are provided with a conceptual understanding of what they need to know and then practice completing certain procedures in a simulated or live environment using SupportPoint as their guide. This approach teaches the learner how to perform their job and use SupportPoint at the same time; thereby teaching them how to be self-sufficient when they return to their desks.

With reference-based training, classroom training no longer needs to cover every detail, as the bulk of learning is expected to happen on the job, when the employee looks up guidance in SupportPoint in real-time. As a result, training can either start much closer to the go-live date, or focus more on quality standards and soft skills.
